But these successful stories often leave out all the others. This includes the dozens of women, involved in Jobs’ first big breakaway, 1984’s Macintosh. Like everyone else on the original Mac team, this team put in some productive hours to create a machine that could live up to the vision of Apple’s brilliant and volatile leader.

One of which is Susan Kare, Apple’s graphic designer who dreamed up the Mac’s icons and created some of its original typefaces specifically the Chicago, Geneva, and Monaco fonts. Joana Hoffman also made big contributions. She focused more on a “user experience” that made people feel as if they could, for the first time, make the device do what they wanted. Other women were involved in major roles like manufacturing, finance, marketing, and public relations.

In an interview, Guy Kawasaki voiced out that the bottom line was, Steve just cared if you were insanely great or not. Kawasaki joined Apple in 1983, and renowned as the Mac’s fist chief evangelist. “He didn’t care about sex, color, creed — anything like that. You were either great or you’re not. You’re either great or you sucked. That’s it. That’s all he cared about.”



Tech Analysts Predict Apple to Release 4-inch iPhone Next Year

Apple fans, particularly iPhone users who find the new screen displays a bit too large for their taste may actually get a taste of small victory next year, 2016.

Rumor mills about the new iPhone with a 4-inch-screen could be released alongside next year’s expected iPhone 7. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, KGI Securities analyst said that these new Apple’s masterpiece could debut next year. The phone reportedly would somehow be similar in terms of functionalities to the iPhone 5s, which was the last model to pack a 4-inch display.

The smaller iPhone would jump the trend toward smartphones with large screens, but may also provide offer another option for consumers who prefer smaller device or a looking for a more budget-friendly phone.

To cope up with market share and sales lost to bigger-screened smartphones, Apple last year improved and modified the display of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus to 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches, respectively. The same sizes carried over to the present iPhone 6s and iPhone 6 Plus. In some reports, this release gave consumers less of a reason to turn to other phone makers.

In addition, Kuo believes that there still a demand for a smaller-screened iPhone and that mass production would increase in the first half of 2016. As a result, the new phone may debut next year when Apple release its next-generation iPhone lineup, typicall a September occurrence.

It’s a bit different from photovoltaic, but all utilize the power of sunlight to either produce electricity or to heat water, or air.




Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge’s Flaws Now Being Addressed by Makers

Just recently, there was an article about the security flaws in Samsung’s masterpiece Android Handset, the Galaxy S6 Edge. One of the man flaws cited was the loophole that hackers can take advantage of and gain control of a victim’s phone.

Well, the good news is the issues were fixed after Google notified Samsung—although some have yet to be addressed. According to an expert, these problems or bugs have caused a lot of security issues of Google’s operating system.

Dr. Steven Murdoch, a security researcher at University College London said to one of his interviews regarding the issue that there is absolutely an issue between Google and the handset manufacturers. This is because Google wants to solidify its Android brand, especially when it comes to security.

“Some of that is down to the extra software that handset manufacturers add.”

Samsung now released a statement that the other bugs would be addressed shortly via security update within this month.

“Maintaining the trust of our customers is a top priority”, said the company.

The information about the bugs was actually disclosed by Google’s Project Zero team. The main function of this department is to maximize security by checking out previously unknown computer security flaws. According to them, several of the flaws would have been “trivial to exploit”.

Other than the flaws mentioned earlier, they have also found another weakness in Samsung’s email software that could have allowed hackers to send confidential information including account details to their own database.

Another thing was that “cyber criminals” can modify the settings of Samsung’s photo-viewing app by using the handset specially encoded image.

In addition, Google mentioned the most interesting issue was the existence of a directory traversal bug in a wi-fi utility built in to the phone.

Hello everyone! My name is Ben and yes, I’ve been a tech-junkie since my high school years. It all started with simple science and physics experimental projects, and everything evolved from there.
